Guadalajara Urban Center Masterplan (Guadalajara, Mexico, 2005)
The intervention near downtown Guadalajara sought the smallest effective difference through subtlety and precision. Unlike other historic colonial downtowns, the urban fabric in Guadalajara isn’t porous. A few strategic removals could help establish a network of pedestrian alleyways. The program could then be spread throughout the intervention site to help reactivate this downtown neighboring area.
