Anapra Border Crossing (Anapra, Mexico, 2005)
The brief called for a border crossing facility between Anapra, Mexico and Sunland Park, U.S.A. Considering many households in these marginal communities barely have running water, the proposal takes a pragmatic stance: A single paved surface serves as a shared public space, playground, and parking lot for pop-up clinics. After sunset, movies projected on an autocinema screen can be enjoyed from both sides.
